One of my personal favorites. A fantasy comic about the adventures of a professional psychic (or "seer") and his friends and family. There's very good character development, storytelling... really, everything about it is good. Lots of blood and gore, though, so you may want to keep the kiddies away from this one. And the puns... so many puns... *shudder*...
Quite possibly the best webcomic ever. Ever. It is not one genre-it is every genre lumped together in one great big ball of nifty. It's got horror, romance, suspense, drama, mystery, sci-fi, fantasy, and comedy. There is little more I can say about this comic-see for yourself.
The Werewolf Comic! So named because it's a comic about werewolves. It follows a girl named Luna who's just discovered she's a werewolf. The art is superb. The writing's a little off, but this guy's from Chile, so the only problem is with the translation. Besides, it's got naked girls! ;)
A webcomic so good it'll want to make you SMACK YO' MOMMA! Ha-ha... eh-heh... *ahem* okay, I've never actually seen "Friday." But I've seen this, and it's really good. In the future, a street punk named Jack has been reanimated by the forces of good to battle the forces of evil. Unfortunately, he's got all the power, but none of the responsibility. Watch as he kicks butt through a corporate-controlled future American ghetto. DOWN WITH WHITEY!!!
That's "Wotch," not "Watch." A girl (NOT a timepiece) discovers that she has magical abilities at band camp. Wait, did I really say "magical abilities" and "band camp" in the same sentence? And she's a redhead? Someone's an Alyson Hannigan fangirl ;). Anyway, this girl goes to school, makes new friends, and fights off interdimensional evils. Fun for the whole family! At least, it's more family-oriented than my other suggestions.
OMFG!!!VG CATS IS TEH SILLY!!!11one But seriously-VG Cats is a comic about video games starring two diabolical little felines, Leo and Aeris (Aerith? Who cares?). You'll laugh as they romp around your favorite video game worlds, causing mayhem and pointing out the blatantly obvious. An awesome comic if you're into video games.
